14 and Shooting: Debut collection

I put this collection together originally for an article that was written by John Albert and edited by John Curry for the LA Weekly. We called the article 14 and Shooting as most of the images were taken when I was 14 and well, I took a lot of photos and part took in IV drug use at the time. The collection on this site are additional photos that did not make that article. The photos that did make the article are on a specific blog I created called, 14 and Shooting.

Someday I hope to do a book with stuff. That would be pretty cool to get that to happen.

  1. Wow, you were (and I’m sure still are) a great photographer, Jennifer! There are people who would kill just to be able to get photos like this (of the early 80s L.A. Punk scene), especially with such high artistic quality as yours. its amazing to think you were so young when you took these, especially considering how wild it seems the atmosphere would be.

Big fan of L7, and now a big fan on your photography! (I don’t know why more people haven’t commented, you deserve to have millions of comments.)

  2. Ugh, I put aarom on there, I meant Aaron, dammit!

These are incredible! You absolutely could and should do a book – probably take these down and make people pay to see them!!! They’re that good. You rock -

Hi, there, Jennifer. Greatings from Brazil! I was just listening to you singing the song Let’s Lynch The Landlord (Dead Kennedys) and then decided to search for any piece of information on what you’ve been up to these days. I was glad to know that you’re doing a great job on photography. Congratulations. Best wishes, Immanuel
